Dreams have great importance in the Jain literary, pictorial and religious traditions. In the Jain tradition dreams have come to occupy a special place because they are connected with the births of the tirthankaras and the other types of illustrious people that form Jain Universal History or mythology. Dream is a common experience of man as reflection of images that occur to him while sleeping. It is one such subject that has been found with very short descriptions, cryptic, scattered in the texts. They need systematic speculation. Through this monograph, the author has made a meaningful effort to present the concept of Dreams here through all those quotations written in the jain texts.
